HOME VISITS

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the practice.

All our appointments are now initially telephone or econsultations. GP telephone consultations can be booked up to 7 days in advance or on the day. You may be offered a text message, video or face to face consultation after your initial appointment.

We do offer telephone consultations later in the evening on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for those patients who find it difficult to contact us during our usual opening hours. These consultations can be booked online or by contacting the practice.

We offer longer appointments for patients who need more time to review their health. These can be with a doctor, nurse, health care assistant or pharmacist and can be for doing a long-term condition review, medication review and learning disability review or if you need an interpreter. Please ask our staff about how to book these.
